• Executive Officer's Opinion piece  '... It is concerning that the OCED in its latest report says that New Zealand is not on track to meet its 2050 net-zero carbon emissions target when there are under-developed opportunities using bioenergy and biofuels which could be implemented by 2035. The OECD said inter alia that “efficient complementary measures, which address market failures not corrected by carbon pricing alone, still need to be taken.” This is a failure of Government focus as the bioenergy sector alone could expand by two and a half times by 2035 which would reduce emissions by around 10,000kt CO2-e pa...'
