Add in the perceived impact forestry is having on the continual slide in pastoral livestock land, and that debate quickly descends into an “either-or” debate with the inevitable intense argument developing between sectors.

But sustainable land management can be achieved with a mix of exotic and native forestry, sitting within established pastoral land holdings...
