Residues2Revenues 2023
One week to Residues to Revenues 2023 runs
Forest owners, those involved in harvesting and transporting woody biomass, chipping operations and aggregators of biofuel and sawmills and wood manufacturing operations that have wood wastes surplus to their own heating or on-site energy requirements have all signed up to attend the region’s major event, Residues2Revenues 2023. It runs in Rotorua, New Zealand in just over a week, on 25-26 July 2023.
Last year, it had been eight years since a bio-fuel event like this has been run in Australasia. Feedback from the over 350 industry delegates that attended, overwhelmingly voted to maintain the momentum and networking achieved in 2022. This year, it’s going to be another major gathering.
Why 2023? Very simply, demand continues to boom with larger industrial operations switching from fossil fuels to renewables, including biomass. The technology is now there to extract forest residues and the economics are really starting to stack up. Forest owners and suppliers of biofuel are setting up new supply partnerships to meet this growing demand.
