Red Stag TimberLab
Red Stag TimberLab is New Zealand’s only fully integrated supplier of mass timber building systems. Red Stag has the Southern Hemispheres largest structural sawmill, and New Zealand’s largest Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), and Glue Laminated Timber (GLT) production facilities. Red Stag has three manufacturing sites across New Zealand processing CLT, GLT, LVL and Light Timber Framing (LTF) systems.
Red Stag integrates advanced CAD design and engineering with state-of-the-art manufacturing to deliver highly accurate, scale projects to transform New Zealand’s construction landscape.
Red Stag is focused on the environment and developing building solutions that sequester carbon to transform mid to high rise development from higher carbon emitting materials to low carbon, environmentally friendly alternatives.
Red Stag is carbon neutral certified and self-sufficient with its own renewable energy production using wood residues (process heat and electricity).
The primary timber preservative at Red Stag is Boron. Boron is an inert natural element used to support our physiological health, wellbeing, and soil for our farming community. Red Stag is actively pursuing solutions to efficiently convert treated boron wood residues into energy or alternative products as opposed to landfill for its production and the recycling of its clients’ residues.
