NZ Government must prioritise domestic emissions reduction.
The NZ renewable energy associations have collectively said to Government that we must prioritise domestic emissions reduction over purchasing international credits. Paying other countries to invest in long term emissions reduction makes no sense when spending that money within NZ will result in long term permanent reductions. We have the renewable energy opportunities so we should spend the money on them.
