Canadian standards for biomass supply chain risk
These new Canadian National Standards for Biomass Supply Chain Risk (BSCR Standards) are a standardized biomass feedstock risk assessment protocol designed to enable the capital markets to more accurately quantify bio-feedstock risk, and reduce the level of uncertainty that is currently a significant driver of low bio-project credit ratings and high capital costs.
These new Standards represent the current state-of-the-science in terms of quantification of biomass supply chain risk. It is the authors intention and goal that these BSCR Standards be integrated into the range of risk assessment tools used by the financial markets when evaluating investments in the bio-economy sector.
