Valuing our food waste

South Australia’s strategy to reduce and divert household and business food waste 2020-2025

The South Australian Government has an aim to reduce emissions by more than 50% from 2005 levels by 2030, and for net zero emissions by 2050. Taking action to address the generation of food waste and divert this material away from landfill helps implement the government’s policy directions under Directions for a Climate Smart SA9 and the across agency Climate Change Action Plan 2021-2025.
